HelpCenter Home <Supported Tasks < Change PasswordHESCweb Online, PATH FileTransfer, Mainframe File Transfer, TAP Transaction Processing, Loans Transaction Processing, and DMCS Transaction ProcessingTo change your password for the above functions, you must enter your user ID, your old password, your new password, then re-enter your new password, and click on the “Change Password” button. Your password will expire every 120 days and you cannot reuse your last password when you are prompted by the system to change your password. Your password must be 6-8 characters in any combination of letters and numbers and the system will not recognize the difference between upper-case and lower-case letters. You can also change this HESCweb password on the initial “Logon” screen that is displayed after you accept the terms for the use of this web site. If you do not use this user ID and password for 30 days, they will automatically be revoked and you will need to call the Help Desk to get them reinstated. Your HESCweb user ID and password are valid within the above functions. If you change your password in one of these functions, the change to your password will automatically be made in all of the other functions. Web File Transfer, Tax Reporting, and Reports and FormsPasswords for these functions are permanent and can only be assigned or changed by the Help Desk. Call the Help Desk if you have lost the initial password that you were assigned or to obtain a user ID and password for these functions. If you have any problems changing your password for any of these functions, call the Help Desk on 1-866-431-HESC (1-866-431-4372) for assistance. |
